nycoba|NOMA is an association of architects, designers, and allied professionals involved in developing events and programming to create a more diverse and inclusive design industry. While there have been some successes garnered by minority architects and designers, a tremendous need remains to ensure that the design of our communities and future design leaders represent our multicultural society. As a result, our goal is to champion diversity within the design professions by promoting excellence, community engagement, and the professional development of our members.
We champion diversity and ensure that the design of our communities and future design leaders more readily represent our multicultural society.
We engage with students and emerging professionals to assist in licensure, develop outreach programs and increase representation in the profession pipeline.
We advocate for increased inclusiveness, fellowship, and excellence in design among the media, the business community, public agencies and the general public.
We organize and activate our membership to create professional relationships.
We encourage and foster the next generation of design professionals, civic leaders, and changemakers activity in the design community.
We stimulate discussions about our roles in society as design professionals and encourage our membership to serve communities throughout NYC.
We'd love to have you join us.
