Paul A. Castrucci, Architects, seeks candidates interested in Climate Justices to apply for NYSERDA’s Climate Justice Fellowship.
Paul A. Castrucci, Architects, will provide professional Development Training/Mentoring for a year-long, full-time fellowship.
Climate Justice: “Climate justice is the promotion of individual and collective capacity to prepare for, respond to, and recover from climate events as well as the fair treatment, meaningful involvement, and the absence of discrimination in the creation of policies, programs, and projects that both address the disparate impacts of climate change and the transition to a net-zero emissions economy.”
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) will train workers for good-paying jobs. Specifically, this Climate Justice Fellowship focuses on investing in historically disadvantaged communities and priority populations, including low-income individuals, veterans, individuals with disabilities, formerly incarcerated residents, Incumbent or unemployed power plant workers, homeless individuals, single parents or residence of disadvantage community.

NYSERDA intents fellowships for individuals not enrolled in school or coursework. NYSERDA may consider part-time coursework or schooling case-by-case basis. To apply for the NYSERDA Climate Justice Fellowship with Paul A Castrucci, Architects, the candidate must provide the following:
(1) Cover letter and resume detailing education background, work experience, volunteer activities.
(2) Two professional, academic, or personal letters of support - could be a professor, mentor, employer, community member, elders. Letter of support should be one page, single-spaced, and speak to the candidate’s ability to engage in the fellowship program effectively. Please include the contact information of the person writing the fellowship
(3) An essay or personal statement briefly describes why you (the fellow candidate) are ideal for this fellowship opportunity. It is required to address why you should be considered as an individual currently residing in a disadvantaged community or from a priority population.
Additional Requirements for the Fellowship:
Paul A. Castrucci, Architects is a growing firm providing architectural, Passive House consulting and design-build firm. We are seeking exceptional candidates with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience.
We seek energetic Architects with strong organizational, design, research and construction detailing skills. The ideal candidate will have a thorough, conscientious work approach and strong communication skills. The candidate must have the ability and willingness to work collaboratively. Knowledge of materials and craft is required.
