Heintges Consulting Architects & Engineers - Summer Internship

Heintges is an award-winning firm of 40 architects and engineers committed to the realization of innovative building enclosures which meet the highest levels of sustainability and performance. We maintain a broad portfolio of superlative projects worldwide including art museums, cultural centers, mixed-use developments, and supertall towers. For over 30 years, we have been consistently recognized as a leading firm in the field of façade consulting. Our work is guided by a shared commitment to quality and our talented staff collaborates with clients and contractors to deliver services which set the standard for our industry.

We have permanent offices in both New York and San Francisco. This opportunity is based in our NY office.

During this internship, the candidate will gain access to the total process of design, engineering and construction of high-performance building envelopes. The program will be structured to provide hands on experience with design development, detailing and engineering tasks. The candidate will have the opportunity to attend project team meetings involving the Architect, Owner and Façade Contractor on a variety of projects. For work in construction phases, there will be scheduled factory and site visits to observe fabrication and installation of custom curtain wall systems. The program will be tailored to provide the candidate with a good understanding of the fundamental aspects of our specialty practice.

We anticipate this experience will be in-person, particularly for site and factory visits. However, based on circumstances at the time, it is possible that some office-based work could be performed remotely.

Application Materials:

  • Resume: Please feel free to include any experiences to date. This includes non-architectural experiences, i.e. teaching/ student assistant, part-time work, or volunteer work.
