WSP is currently initiating a search for an Architectural Intern for our New York City office. This opportunity is available for a college student in good standing working towards a degree in Architecture within an accredited program. This would be for approximately 3 months over the summer break. The candidate will gain experience in the implementation of transportation projects located in the New York area. Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Senior Architects in broader Architectural activities
Perform routine Architectural functions, such as developing construction documents and feasibility studies.
Prepare sketches and drawings using various types of CADD design software
Assist with fieldwork and document field investigation
Research Building Code
Assisting in preparing contract documents
Perform other duties as assigned

Must be motivated and have a strong desire to learn Architectural skills related to transportation infrastructure projects.
Experience with Microstation, AutoCAD, REVIT, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and knowledge of reading drawings.
Previous internship experience in architecture
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Education and Skills Required:
Current standing as ajunior or senior studentactively enrolled in an NAAB-accreditedArchitectural Undergraduate or Graduate Program.
Must have completed basic foundational courses including: Intro to Architecture, AutoCAD, Architectural Drafting course, and Structures.
