Senior Computation and Algorithm Design Specialist will be a core member of a multidisciplinary team working with designers, strategists, and visualization experts to develop and deliver computational workflows and solutions leveraging predictive analytics and simulations to lead innovation and help clients develop strategic decision-making workflows. The core responsibilities are to deliver accurate and efficient algorithms, create code libraries, proto-type applications, and update the team’s code asset based on the feedback of the team. It is perfect role for a creative problem solver whose core knowledge is in predictive analytics and simulation related algorithms with a good grasp in complex data visualization.
What You Will Do
Lead the development of effective, defect free, high-quality algorithms for developing novel analytics and data management processes that meet the project requirements.
Manage code development tasks and activities in a highly collaborative, agile team to support development of design specifications, prototype solutions, and test scripting and automation.
Analyze computational complexity of algorithms and communicate to the team.
Document, validate, and research to create more effective solutions.
Participate in design, develop, and execute test plans.
Mentor, support, and direct staff to help them achieve not only client goals but personal development goals
5+ years of experience in research and development of predictive analytics and simulation related to civil engineering, urban design or architecture.
Masters, or Ph.D. in architecture, urban design, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
Experience developing scientific or industrial simulations based on proven algorithms in the field
Strong foundation in object-oriented development (C++, C#, Python and/or Java)
Research, and Learn New Technology appropriate to enhance project goals
Clearly describe and analyze a problem and to articulate a solution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management, prioritization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Experience in code development for scientific or industrial research
Development experience or interest in Data Science and machine learning projects.
Experience in agent-based modeling
Familiarity with Mobile application development
Experience in architecture, design or construction related software development
