Junior Urban Designer – Commercial

CallisonRTKL Architects P.C. seeks a motivated and energized Designer to join its Planning and Urban Design team located in the New York City office.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the project team through design and technical tasks

  • Conducts research for the project team

  • Performs calculations and basic analytical tasks related to land use, demographics, and survey methods

  • Assists in the generation of written reports, planning documents, and project proposals

  • Organizes files, materials, and displays

  • Creates and revises drawings and renderings

  • Produces graphics for planning documents and presentations

  • Works on multiple projects and collaborates with team members

  • Assists with community outreach and geographic information systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture or related field

  • Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture or related field preferred

  • 1+ year of related experience in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Architecture, or related field preferred

  • Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Affinity preferred

  • Ability to maintain effective communications with project team members

  • Mapping ability such as drafting, coding, and digital technologies preferred

  • Submit a portfolio with application
