BOLT Architecture is a Brooklyn-based architectural firm looking for an Intermediate Architectural Designer to join our team.

The Intermediate Architect’s primary responsibility will be to design, assist with project constructability, and review design documents. They will work closely with a Senior Registered Licensed Architect to research, plan, design and undertake construction administration of building projects. The designer should be technically strong, have solid design sense and be able to work with all aspects of a project - schematic through construction administration. This position requires a high level of design, supporting Senior Architect in client interface and direction of junior staff.
Prerequisites
4+ years of experience in an architectural practice.
Residence in the New York City area.
Expertise in design and construction process.
Proficiency in CAD and Revit.
Must have an opinion on the best year in hip hop (whether right or wrong).
Responsibilities include:
Design and production work on all project phases from concept design through closeout.
Preparation of drawings for client meetings, DOB submissions and construction documents.
Code research.
Correspondence and meetings with clients.
Creation of BIM models.
Coordination with engineering consultants.
Review and preparation of project specifications.
Construction administration including site visits, shop drawing review and correspondence with contractors.
